On our drive to Duluth Minnesota from St. Cloud, we went thru some of the most scenic farmlands. We arrived in Duluth in the early afternoon it was about two and half hours from St. Cloud and checked into our hotel. Our Hotel was on Lake Superior, which gave us the opportunity to take a nice walk along the Canal Park Drive. We spent four days in Duluth, enjoying the North Shore Drive along Lake Superior, doing some hiking, and biking. We also enjoyed some of the many good restaurants in the area. One restaurant that was recommended to us was about 20 minutes north on the Shore Drive known as the Scenic Café, it overlooks Lake Superior and has amazing cuisine.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn, Overlooks Lake Superior and has the Lake walk right on the beach. We had beautiful weather while we were there. We spent two nights at the Hampton. A third night at the South Pier Inn on the Canal.

Biking along the Shore Drive with great views of Lake Superior.
Gooseberry Falls State Park, Lower and Middle falls. Easy to get to from the Highway and has a nice paved walkway on the lower falls.
If you enjoy sitting outside at a restaurant and enjoying a nice glass of Wine or a local Beer, then you must go to the Canal Park Brewing Company on the Canal Park Drive.
